Not related to the Where 2.0 conference, but I just received an invite to a very interesting event happening next week at Yahoo!: SearchMonkey Developer Launch Party.

From the announcement:

SearchMonkey is Yahoo! Search's new open developer platform. With SearchMonkey, developers and site owners can use semantic web standards and structured data to enhance Yahoo! Search results and make them more useful, relevant, and visually appealing.

If you are a web developer, you're cordially invited to the SearchMonkey Developer Launch Party. Come get the insider scoop on SearchMonkey, see live demos, deep dive on the developer tool documentation, and meet with our product managers and engineers face-to-face. Please join us for a fun evening with free tasty food & beer!

When:May 15, 2008, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Where:Yahoo! Headquarters - Url's Café

RSVP:Register at upcoming.org AND send your full name and company name
to searchmonkeyevent@yahoo-inc.com. Space is limited.
